I'm a real artist Mommy! Look! Look at the wall!

SUCCESS!

I was the FEATURED artist on Thursday, January 19th at Opulen Studio's monthly Movie Night + Art Installation event in DTLA!  (Shout out to the people not pictured, who left a lil early.  You are not forgotten.  Love ya'll.)

The night was amazeballs aaall the way around.  From my people to the art to the movie to the love to the dance battle at the end.  Yes...there was a dance battle thing. -__-  It ain't an Sdot spot if it ain't dropped like it's hot.  (I'm a nerd.  Don't judge me.)  I'd like to thank everyone that came thru to show love.  And to those of you who purchased my work...I'm sending you big, wet, sloppy, teddy bear XOXOs.  If ya missed this faaab event, don't pee your pants, this is just the beginning. Definitely more to come.  Big ups to Opulen Studios: http://opulenstudios.com/ + Lucratif Clothing http://lucratifstreet.com/ + my chick Shivaaaaaa.  Thank you.

Oh and check out this article that the Lucratif Blog did on me!

Joy to the World!

Hi friends and strangers!  I know it's been a lil minute since I've posted anything.
I hope you all have had a wonderful New Year!  Be blessed my people!  Be blessed.
Anywho, last month, the party girls and I (see last post) exchanged Secret Santa gifts with eachother.

We used Elfster (a website that sends us our Secret Santa recipient).  I was lucky to get my good friend Joy! Because Joy is such a unique woman, I wanted to give her a one-of-a-kind gift.  I usually create using Double Ds, aka: Dry & Digital Media buuuuuut because I wanted to change it up and give Joy something different, I used acrylic paint on canvas.

Korean girl, fluent in Spanish, Cali-bred with the coolest fashion and changing hairstyles who travels as much as Obama.  That's Joy.  I've never known Joy to be UNjoyful (yes...I said it) and because of that...I call this "Joy to the World."  Below is a series of photos of the process from the sketches to the canvas to the paint. Enjoy.
